Thought this was a really cool set after watching their promotional video. The cutting dies are a joke and can only cut 1 at a time and take just as long as pressing a button. Speaking of pressing buttons. The largest circle press insert is absolutely terrible. I've wasted so many materials. Thinking I was doing something wrong, I rewatched their tutorial video and I found no new information. Out of 12 attempted buttons, only 4 came out perfect. I had to pull off the mylar from another 4. And 4 were completely ruined and had to be trashed.

This button maker is so cool! I love the fact that I can make different sizes on the same machine. The instructions are clear, so I've already made a bunch of buttons and haven't had any issues so far. Very happy with my purchase!

I received this button maker for Christmas, and it was defective right out the box. I believe that it is an issue with uneven pressure over the face of the press as failure in both the cutter and button crimp inserts happen consistently in the same spot. I understand that sometimes products have quality issues, but I am giving one star due to American Crafts refusing to rectify the issue.
I emailed customer service hoping to arrange a replacement but was told that replacements can only be coordinated with the place of purchase. The gifter purchased it at a JoAnne fabrics over 1,100 milles from where I live..! I have tried to go to three different stores local to me, only to be told that they don't know where their stock of the same item is, and to "try back in a couple weeks".
Even worse, right after receiving the button maker, I spent almost $80 on button making supplies from this website... supplies that I can't even use because I don't have a functioning button maker. Again, I made this purchase assuming that I was getting a quality, functioning button press.
If I want to return my website purchase, it looks like I'll have to pay return shipping... And I won't be able to even test the items I bought until I get a replacement button press, which could push me outside the 30 day return window, despite me taking immediate action.
So yeah... buyer beware! This is experience has taught me that American Crafts will stand behind "policies" to allow them to not support their products, even when defective right out of box.

Was very happy with everything except the mylar on the biggest circle did not crimp all the way around the pin. Otherwise,
it was great! Very easy to use!
