Typecast Decorative Retro Typewriter

I haven’t used it yet, but it’s beautiful out of the box. The shipping was very fast and I’m happy with my purchase.

DO NOT BUY! Scam! THIS IS ONLY FOR LOOKS. IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT THEN GO FOR IT. IT IS NOT FUNCTIOAL THOUGH! Costumer service @ tonic/ American crafts/ We r makers said they would not replace my broken typewriter. They said in an email it was display only.

There are too many thing wrong with this typewriter to note. However, to mention a couple, the return doesnt work and when you strike a key, the arm attempts to imprint the paper, it does a terrible job and then the letter doesn’t return, it makes it halfway back and gets stuck. It’s cute, but less useless than a paper weight. I’m shock it’s still be being after so many bad reviews.
Then, I try to reach out to the company to return this lump because customers need an RMA to return the item and after 2 emails nothing. I’m also interested to see if they expect me to pay for shipping for this hunk of……. If that were to be the case, never mind not shipping from them, I’d never buy anything again with their name on it. I wish I could say, this was a one time bad luck for them with this typewriter, but it’s not from all the terrible reviews on the internet. So one can safely assume, they knew they were selling a defective product. The whole process has been upsetting and miserable. I guess, if I don’t receive the necessary information to return their defective product to them I will file a dispute with my CC company and be able to show them I did my due diligence and they simply didn’t respond. SAVE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU WANT IT FOR DECORATION ONLY.

There was a problem when it arrived. My husband quickly identified the problem. He fixed it and it works fine. Great customer service. Thank you American Crafts.
