I recently got this at Michael’s on sale for $25 from $50. Like the other commenter, I hoped to use this for printing. So far I have not had success with it. I am going to try other paints and papers, but I think the thinness of it doesn’t lend well to printing/rolling, even if I am able to figure out with paints and papers lift best.
This is also marketed as a mat for beading, so worst case scenario I can use it that way later. It’s strange that gelli plates are so expensive, but in this case it is worth paying full price for the real thing, which I have also worked with to beautiful flawless results. I was just hoping to save some money :/

NOT for printmaking
I had been looking for a gelli plate but I found this instead at Michael’s and saw it said it could be used for printmaking so thought I’d give it a shot. DON’T do it! Learn from me. This isn’t like a real gelli plate - it’s thinner and too sticky. I tried using it once and my paper stuck to the mat. So frustrating. I wish they’d take that off the label so it wouldn’t confuse people that want to use it for printmaking; it’s misleading.
